Software, UX/UI, Medical, Engineering, Usability
I worked as the UX design lead at the Siemens Molecular Imaging business unit of Siemens Healthineers. Here I was given the opportunity to grow the discipline of user-centred design in a group of 600+. I was involved in strategy, UX training, persona creation, and carried out usability testing, as well as designing and overseeing the implementation of UI and UX design solutions for a suite of advanced medical visualisation software application tools.
Working closely with physicians, technicians, senior stakeholders, product managers, subject matter experts, apps specialists, and developers across 5 global sites helped me gain a deep understanding of the medical domain and exercise my communication and soft skills across cultures.
As part of this role, I patented an algorithm for displaying annotations on medical images and developed a suite of user-centric icons for an organ processing application. I was also closely involved in developing the style guide and design system for syngo.via, a multi-modality medical imaging application.
